Blessings to each of you from Eastern Europe!

As soon as I hit the ground in Romania, Bro. Sutek handed me the mail for the last few months.  Among all of this was a letter sent to me with a filled out gospel tract indicating that 30 yr. old Dinu Sandu had received Jesus Christ as Savior through somehow receiving a tract from our ministry.  He lives about 5 hours to the south of us close to the border of the country of Bulgaria.  His town (Lunca) has a population of 7,000 and no gospel witness to our knowledge.  We, nor any of our church members, have been within two hours of this town.  Obviously the gospel has legs of its own!  A gospel tract must have been given at a train station, bus stop, or one of our weekly street meetings and somehow gotten into the hand of this man.  We praise the Lord that He is not limited with the sowing of the seed.

It was also an unusual joy to witness door to door this week and lead a 29 yr. old Orthodox man to Christ at his door.  Adi bowed his head and prayed in his own words for the Lord Jesus Christ to take away all of his sin and come into his soul.  Glory!  This happens very rarely in this country, which is blinded by religion.  Pray for this man as the devil will begin to battle him immediately.  It costs Orthodox people greatly to follow Jesus.  On this same day just before we led Adi to Christ, we had a very large man get in our face after trying to follow up on a 19 yr. old young lady, who was interested in the gospel the week before.  She was the angry man’s daughter.  He had torn up and thrown away the tract and John/Romans we had given her and now demanded we leave his daughter alone because they were Orthodox.  I caught the young lady’s eye in the back of the apartment as I disappointedly had to leave the premises.  In the service of the King there are losses and victories.

During our Sunday morning service yesterday (May 24th), we rejoiced as a grown man named Marian raised his hand for salvation and was dealt with privately during the invitation.  He confessed to me afterwards that he had indeed received Christ as his personal Savior.  Praise the Lord for all this fruit.  We need you to pray that it will remain.

The renovation of the outside of the church building has begun (picture above).  We have much to do to get the outside finished and a new addition built afterwards (as God provides).  However, things are happening step by step.  Please keep praying for the completion of the property.  Presently the church has to use an outhouse, has a closet for a nursery, and no additional Sunday School space, but we are still tickled to death to be back in the city and have a very nice building (at least on the inside) to have our church services.

I am including a long overdue NEW AND UPDATED PRAYER CARD of our family; and will be happy to send additional prayer cards to churches or supporters if so desired.  If anyone would like more cards, then please contact us at amministries@aol.com or 1-205-453-4931 or at the support address in the left margin.
