LoganLetter #64 & #65 (March/April 2009)

Hello from Romania!

By God’s good grace we have made it back again to the field after our four month furlough and Cindy’s surgery.  She is doing great, and we praise the Lord for His provision for her health.  MIRACULOUS PRAISE – The cost of Cindy’s surgery was over $11,000.  We received no welfare state help (aka “the government”), asked no one for a dime, and were told in advance that the catastrophic insurance policy that we had for emergencies overseas would cover nothing of these costs.  Without going into a long explanation, the Lord took care of ALL this expense except for $500.  It was really unbelievable to see.  We were shocked.  The resources of God Almighty are limitless!

We arrived in Romania with the heart of the work still strong and the desire of the churches continually set upon the evangelization of the lost and the glorification of Jesus Christ.  While we were away, the church in Brasov has significantly reached out with the gospel under Bro. Sutek’s leadership.  They were able to go house to house, pass tracts, and witness for Jesus Christ in the new town of San Petru.  This town is a suburb of Brasov with about 10,000 people.  These people have no Bible preaching church or preacher to give them the truth.  At least now they have been fully informed about the gospel and we do not have their blood on our hands.  Our believers also distributed invitations to our church, which can be reached via public transportation from there.  The town of San Petru represents our 8th town or city that we have done our best to fully evangelize.  There are hundreds more places that have never had an opportunity in Romania and literally thousands of cities throughout Eastern Europe that have NO witness.  Pray that the Lord will send forth labourers to the field (Luke 10:2).  We are doing our best here to get out the gospel and pray that you are doing your best wherever you find yourself.

I want to say a special thank you to those churches in which we had the privilege to minister while in the States.  It was an honour to be with you and see the Lord work.  I was very blessed to see more than 10 souls trust Christ in the meetings I was privileged to preach during the four months we were there.  We saw probably 15 people surrender to preach or to the mission field and witnessed two genuine revivals break out.  The work of the Holy Ghost at Sweet Springs Baptist Church and Capitol City Baptist Church was something that should have a far-reaching impact for years to come.  Seeing people intensely weep over their own cold hearts, seriously confess sins, get right with each other, lay at God’s altar without interest of time, rejoice in the Spirit, raise hands in worship, and shout the victory was a breath of heaven in the midst of an apostate age.  May God help His people get serious enough with Him that He may move among them again!  We cannot reach the world if He cannot reach our churches.  I remain

Desirous “that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding” (Colossians 1:9),
