Greetings from
Romania,
With joy we write to
you,
thanking the
great Shepherd and Bishop of our souls for your continued prayers and support
for our spiritual labours. By God’s
grace the new addition to the church building has been completed (picture
above). This is certainly a great
blessing to our church family in Brasov.
Pray that the Lord’s house will be filled!
The Romanian believers in our Brasov Independent Baptist Church are
faithfully ministering the word of God and seeking to evangelize their city.
Together we spend multiple hours each week in getting the gospel to every
creature in this city of 350,000.
On Tuesday, we reach out to the orphans in our weekly ministry there.
On Thursday, we reach out to the prisoners with preaching, singing, and
personal conversation. On Friday,
we preach the gospel in the open-air in the busiest section of the city.
On Saturday, we place gospel tracts in a concentrated effort to reach
every dwelling with the word of God and invitations to our church.
ALL of this is occurs every week OUTSIDE the church building.
It is amazing that Christianity has become known as something within four
walls of a sanctuary. The New
Testament does not characterize the church in such a way.
Jesus and his apostles preached outside most of the time.
The feeding of the multitudes and ministering to the needs of the people
were done outside of a building.
Even Christ’s prayer meetings were held in a garden.
The early church stormed the cities and villages with their lives and
ministry. Jesus said “GO OUT” not
stay in. If our Christianity stays
within the building, then all is but dead concerning the continuation of the
work of the Master. May God
embolden us to keep Christianity OUTSIDE.
This month I ask you
to lift up in prayer Bro. Adrian (pictured below).
He is doing a fine job leading our orphanage and prison ministries.
He is a graduate of our Bible Institute and a great blessing.
He teaches and preaches in the church and in the streets.
Pray that God will continue to bless and use him for the glory of the
Lord. Pray also that God will grant
him the wife that he desires to help him in the ministry.
All of our men are precious to us, and it is our wish that you pray for
them as much as you do for us. They
are more valuable than we are here, and they need to stay encouraged and full of
power.
Thanks to each of
you who sent a card for Cindy and my
20th
wedding anniversary. Pray that we
will honor the Lord
and always have the home He desires us to have!
“Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp,
bearing his reproach.” Hebrews 13:13
