THEIR HANDS FOR THIS GOOD WORK”    Nehemiah 2:18

By the grace of God we will begin next month to build an addition on the property the Lord has given us for the Brasov Independent Baptist Church.  Since moving to our current location in the city a little over a year ago, we have patiently waited for the Lord to allow us to build an addition that would give the church restroom facilities, a nursery, and a classroom.  While no one has complained, it has been a challenge to preach and teach in the same room with the little ones with nothing but a partition wall separating us.  Everyone is also anxiously waiting for the day when we will have restroom facilities.  You can imagine the anguish of some without such comforts that so many of us take for granted.  I wonder how many would attend your church if it didn’t have padded pews, restrooms, nurseries, water fountains, carpeted classrooms, air condition, etc.  In these latter days, the people of God have forgotten the old sawdust days of meeting under the tents and in wooden church houses without the comforts of this faithless generation.  God help us not to loose our grit and love for Jesus Christ with all of the creature comforts that He has provided.

Two teams from the USA are scheduled to be here next month for this project.  One group will do all of the foundation work and plumbing; while the latter group is scheduled to bring up the building the rest of the way.  We appreciate all of those willing to sacrifice their time and labour for this good work.  Every child of God has different abilities and strengths.  It is good to know that God can use you to further his work no matter what you are gifted to do.  These men of ability will work with their hands to become a great blessing for the church.  We praise the Lord for this and ask you to pray for them and for all possible hindrances to be removed.  We need good weather, wisdom, quality materials, and safety at the workplace.

We also continue to be engaged in the continual process of building lives for Jesus Christ.  It is a joy to be co-labourers with God as He builds His church for His glory.
